ISUZU Challenge Thailand 2026 Racing Car: DNA Motorsport Racing Car  Highlight Exclusive Customized vehicles at Motor Show 2026

Isuzu reinforces its leadership in Thailand’s automotive market with a grand presence at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, under the concept “THE ONE & ONLY with YUU CHAN”. The brand reflects its image as a trusted companion for Thai customers with showcasing a full lineup of vehicles across all segments.

A key highlight of Isuzu’s booth is the showcase of exclusive customized vehicles that represent the brand’s DNA in performance and technological advancement. In particular, the competition-ready prototype race cars highlight Isuzu’s strong engineering capabilities and motorsport expertise.

ISUZU Challenge Thailand 2026 Racing Car: A High-Performance Prototype from the Motorsport

The Isuzu Challenge Thailand 2026 Racing Car is a prototype race car developed from the foundation of the Isuzu D-Max Spacecab which was developed for the ISUZU Challenge Thailand 2026 competition. This model reflects a development philosophy that integrates performance, technology, and design tailored for professional motorsport while retaining Isuzu’s identity durability.

The key highlight of this model is the 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE engine, specially adjusted to support acing applications, delivering a maximum output of 285 horsepower and 507 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted through a BK Racing clutch and a limited-slip differential, enhancing precision and control, particularly through corners.

Race-grade suspension and braking systems engineered to support maximum performance

The suspension system of this race car has been developed for track performance which especially features Penske 2-way shock absorbers paired with a special leaf spring setup to enhance stability and vehicle control. 

The braking system is equipped with high-performance Neotech EVO-R brakes with 6-piston front calipers and 360 mm brake discs while the rear features 4-piston calipers combined with Ferodo brake pads which delivers superior stopping power at high speeds.

 

For the wheels, it features with 18-inch forged wheels, paired with Toyo Tires Proxes Sport 2 (275/40 R18) which is an official competition tires used in the Isuzu Challenge, ensuring optimal grip across all track conditions.

GT-Inspired Aerodynamic Design Enhances High-Speed Stability

The body is engineered based on GT race car aerodynamics that featuring a full set of aero parts from Tera Engineering. Key highlights include a Front Wing and an adjustable rear spoiler. Both designed created to increase downforce and improve stability at high speeds.

In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a rear diffuser, wheel arch extensions, and side skirts. All designed is working together to optimize airflow efficiency. It also features a specially designed tonneau cover with integrated aerodynamic fins, , enhancing overall stability and vehicle balance.

Motorsport-Inspired Interior with Telemetry System

The interior is designed to meet international motorsport safety standards that featuring an FIA standard’s roll cage structure. It is equipped with racing seats, multi-point racing harnesses, window safety nets and an automatic fire suppression system which enhancing driver safety during competition.

Another key innovation is the Telemetry system (Isuzu Challenge Technology) which captures real-time driving data in both engine performance and driver behavior. This marks as the first time such technology has been introduced in One Make race competition in Thailand.

The display of the Isuzu Challenge Thailand 2026 Racing Car at this year’s Motor Show underscores Isuzu’s commitment to advancing technology and performance from motorsport into production vehicles.

This prototype race car not only reflects the brand’s image of performance and innovation, but also serves as a symbol of automotive engineering development which is bridging the gap between track performance and everyday usability.

Visitors can experience this exclusive customized vehicle at the Isuzu booth at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, held at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, from today until 5 April 2026.
