MG introduces the new IM5 at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show 2026, a sporty coupe sedan that combines striking design, advanced technology, and high-performance electric driving for a new generation of drivers.

The MG IM5 stands out with its sleek and dynamic coupe silhouette, designed with sharp lines that capture attention from every angle. It features double-layer acoustic glass surrounding the cabin, effectively reducing external noise for a quieter and more refined driving experience. The sporty character is further enhanced by 20-inch alloy wheels, reinforcing its bold and modern presence.

Inside, the cabin is crafted with precision and innovation, featuring Intelligent Immersive Touch Screens, including a 26.3-inch digital display and a 10.5-inch central touchscreen. The interior is designed for maximum comfort, highlighted by POPO Sofa-style seats with ventilation, ensuring a relaxing journey for both driver and passengers. The driving experience is further elevated by a 7.1.4 Spatial Audio system with 20 speakers, delivering immersive sound quality, alongside a spacious rear cargo area for added practicality.

Performance is a key highlight of the MG IM5, powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor driving the rear wheels, producing up to 407 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The vehicle is built on the advanced IM Digital Chassis, enhancing stability, precision, and ease of control. It is equipped with a 100 kWh battery developed in collaboration with CATL, delivering an impressive driving range of up to 860 kilometers per charge (NEDC).

The IM5 also supports ultra-fast charging through an 800-volt high-voltage architecture, with a maximum DC charging capacity of 396 kW. This enables the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in less than 18 minutes. An advanced battery cooling system further enhances performance and reliability, especially during long-distance driving.

In addition, the MG IM5 integrates intelligent technologies to improve driving convenience and safety. It features Level 2 autonomous driving assistance and an Intelligent Four-Wheel Steering System, which significantly enhances maneuverability. With a tight turning radius of just 4.99 meters, the system allows the front and rear wheels to turn in opposite directions at low speeds, making tight turns and U-turns easier and more precise.
