The New Monster+

The New Monster+ — an iconic sport naked bike, returns under the concept “Everything you need, nothing more.” It embodies a design philosophy that strips away the unnecessary, leaving only the pure essence of riding enjoyment. The model is powered by the new Ducati V2 engine, delivering 111 horsepower from an 890 cc. With a lightweight structure of just 175 kg, it ensures agile and dynamic performance. The bike is also equipped with a full suite of advanced electronics, including Riding Modes, Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Quick Shift 2.0, and Engine Brake Control (EBC) which makes a debut on the Monster for the first time. All of this comes wrapped in a refreshed design that clearly retains the unmistakable identity of the Monster.

The new Monster has been completely redesigned, harmoniously combining advanced technology with striking design. It features sporty design lines while maintaining its aggressive character, along with the signature elements that define the Monster. These include the iconic Bison-back fuel tank, a hallmark of Ducati’s naked bikes, now reinterpreted with a fresh design. The front air intakes are inspired by the second-generation Monster, while the newly designed Full-LED Double “C” headlight adds a modern and distinctive touch to the model. The seat has also been redesigned to be narrower and lower, with a height of 775 mm, helping riders feel more confident and in control.

The latest Ducati V2 engine serves as the heart of the bike, it is engineered to improve weight distribution and reduced vibrations, which resulting in smoother and more controllable riding. This new engine is 5.9 kg lighter than the Testastretta model in previous generation. It features an Intake Variable Timing (IVT), enabling an ideal balance of smooth low-end response, strong mid-range torque, and powerful high-end performance. It also delivers a maximum output of 111 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, with 70% of peak torque available from as low as 3,000 rpm, and maintaining 80% of peak torque throughout the 4,000–10,000 rpm range. Moreover, the riders can fully enjoy the ride with greater peace of mind and less maintenance concerns dues to the extension of service intervals of the latest V2 engine. The valve clearance checks are required only every 45,000 kilometers, and it is one of the best standards in its class.

With the utilization of the sporty, lightweight, and easy-to-handle structure and the monocoque frame with a dual swingarm inspired by the Panigale V4, it results in a weight reduction of 4 kg compared to the previous model (a total weight of 175 kg excluding fuel). The new Monster is also equipped with high-performance suspension, including 43 mm Showa upside-down in the front and a Showa preload-adjustable monoshock in the back. In term of braking system, the brake of this model is handled by Brembo with dual 320mm front discs and M4.32 radial calipers, together with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires (120/70 and 180/55), providing exceptional grip and maximum safety.

From the perspective of Advanced technology enhances both riding enjoyment and safety, the model comes with four Riding Modes — Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet, along with a comprehensive suite of rider assistance systems, including Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Engine Brake Control (EBC), and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0. Riders can easily adjust settings via newly designed four-way switchgear and a 5-inch TFT display that supports the Ducati Multimedia System, as well as Turn-by-Turn Navigation (available as an optional Ducati accessory). The screen ensures excellent readability in all lighting conditions with dual display modes for day and night, and offers two layout options — Road and Road Pro, allowing riders to stay fully focused by presenting the most relevant information clearly for each riding situation.

As one of Ducati’s most customizable motorcycles, the Monster model has long been a favorite among owners who enjoy personalizing their bikes. Ducati Performance therefore offers a wide range of accessories, including sporty seats, carbon fiber fairings, and billet aluminum components, as well as Termignoni exhaust systems developed in collaboration with Ducati.
