The 47th Bangkok International Motor Show officially opened on March 25th and will run until April 5th, 2026, reflecting the power of the Thai automotive industry and driving the future economy under the theme “THE ICONIC SYNCHRONICITY – The Context of Flawless Mobility.” This theme showcases the seamless integration of technology, innovation, and unique design, reinforcing the potential of the Thai automotive industry in this transitional period and its crucial role in driving the country’s economy towards stability and sustainability. The show serves as a platform connecting Thai industry to the digital and green economies.

Mr. Jaturont Komolmis, the Chief Operation Officer – Special Activity of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and the Vice Chairman of the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, stated, “This year’s event focuses on connecting automotive manufacturers, technology, and global markets to support the country’s transition to a digital economy and a green economy. This aligns with the direction of the Thai automotive industry, which is moving towards the era of electric vehicles (EVs) and smart technologies.”
“According to the escalating tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran, which could impact the global economy, the organizers view this as an external factor that requires close monitoring. Managing the overall impact necessitates cooperation and appropriate measures from governments at the policy level.”
“However, the Thai automotive industry still needs to upgrade and develop in the sector of production capabilities to maintain the role as a key manufacturing base in the region. The continuous development of both alternative energy vehicles and more efficient internal combustion engine vehicles reflects the industry’s adaptability and market diversification.”
“In this context, the Bangkok International Motor Show is not only a platform for showcasing international automotive innovations, but also a crucial mechanism for stimulating the economy, boosting sales, driving the industry supply chain, promoting employment, tourism, and the circulation of money within the country. Furthermore, it strengthens confidence among investors, entrepreneurs, and consumers, driving the Thai industry towards stable and sustainable growth.”
This year, the Bangkok International Motor Show 2026 features 45 participating car and motorcycle companies, comprising 37 car companies and 8 motorcycle companies. More than 10 new models will be launched, encompassing both electric vehicles and alternative energy vehicles to meet the needs of modern consumers. A key highlight of this year is the participation of several new electric vehicle brands that have recently entered the Thai market, such as CHERY, LEPAS, FIREFLY, FORTHING, and TESLA, who are participating for the first time. This reflects the confidence of global manufacturers in the potential of the Thai market.
In addition, all car and motorcycle companies have adjusted their pricing strategies and offered more favorable financing terms, including more accessible prices, promotional campaigns, and flexible payment programs. This makes car ownership easier for consumers and helps stimulate the overall economy. Based on this positive response, the organizers anticipate that this year’s event will generate at least 10 percent more revenue compared to last year.
Mr. Peerapong Eiamlamnao, the Executive Officer of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited, as the Vice Chairman of the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, stated, “During the Bangkok International Motor Show, it became the country’s largest hub for automotive content production. Over 3,000 media representatives, influencers, and creators registered to report and create content continuously. Every new car launch, every promotion, and every highlight was quickly disseminated, creating widespread awareness.”
“At the same time, many visitors did not just come to see cars; they also participated in creating content through photography and videography, sharing their experiences on social media. This allowed content from the event to reach a massive audience in a short time, which is a highly effective form of organic communication in the digital age.”
“Therefore, the Bangkok International Motor Show is not just a car exhibition space, but a ‘large media platform’ connecting the automotive industry, media, consumers, and the digital world together. In today’s economy, events like this are crucial in building sales, confidence, and the image of the Thai automotive industry.”
Mr. Anothai Eiamlamnao, the Chief Production Officer of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and the Vice President of the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, stated, “Within this year’s event, in addition to a full lineup of automobiles, motorcycles, modern automotive technologies, and accessories available for viewing and purchase, the organizers have also prepared a variety of special activities to enhance the visitor experience across all target groups, such as the Grand Prix Runbike Championship with RCS.”
“In addition, there are many other special activities, such as the 30th anniversary celebration of XO Autosport, which usually brings together key figures in the car tuning industry, and activities giving away souvenirs to attendees. For example, the JDM & Custom Culture event will showcase unique JDM and custom cars in an outdoor setting to enjoy the warm weather. Attendees will be able to see over 200 top-tier custom cars in the country (100 cars per day) and various car clubs will gather in a lively summer atmosphere at the Loading Area behind Challenger 1-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, on March 28-29.”
“The event also features the Chery V23 Style Up Challenge — a design competition for car accessories for the boxy-style Chery V23 electric car, aiming to discover creative ideas from Thai people and take them to an international level. The winning model will be on display, and attendees can vote for the Popular Vote award for a chance to win an iPad as well.”
“For attendees who wish to test drive the models they are interested in, the organizers have prepared a Test Drive area by the lake in Muang Thong Thani. This area offers a spacious and safe environment where attendees can experience the performance, technology, and safety systems of the vehicles firsthand. This is another important highlight that enhances the experience of this year’s event.”
