ISUZU reinforces its leadership in Thailand’s automotive market with a grand presence at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, under the concept “THE ONE & ONLY with YUU CHAN.” which aims to reinforce the Isuzu brand as a trusted companion standing alongside Thai customers on every journey.
At the booth, Isuzu showcased a total of 15 vehicles, covering pickup trucks, SUVs, and specially customized models. The brand also introduced a new kind of experience through its mascot “YUU CHAN,” which conveys a friendly brand image through 3D digital media displayed on a large LED screen.
A Full Lineup, featuring both D-MAX and MU-X to suit every lifestyle
The highlight of the Isuzu booth is the full showcase of its popular production models, led by the ISUZU D-MAX “THE ONE & ONLY” and MU-X “THE NEXT PEAK.” Both models equipped with the new 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE engine, which is delivering improved performance in terms of both power and fuel efficiency.
The 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE engine produces a maximum output of 163 horsepower and 400 Newton Meter of torque, paired with an 8-speed Rev Tronic automatic transmission that ensures smooth and confident driving. The 4WD variants are also equipped with Terrain Command and Rough Terrain Mode, enhancing off-road capability across various driving conditions. Additionally, the vehicles come with comprehensive ADAS safety systems to support everyday driving.
Launch of the D-MAX EV: A New Choice in Electric Pickup Trucks
Another key highlight is the display of the ISUZU D-MAX EV, a 100% electric pickup truck, marking a significant step forward for the brand in developing technology aligned with the concept of carbon neutrality.
The D-MAX EV features a Dual Motor by E-Axle system and a De-Dion suspension with leaf springs, maintaining the strength and durability that define Isuzu pickup trucks.
As positioning Thailand as the production base for this electric pickup also reflects the country’s role as a major automotive manufacturing hub in the region.
5 Special Customized Vehicles Inspiring Adventure and Personalization
Isuzu booth this year also features 5 specially customized vehicles, developed to reflect unique design concepts and performance capabilities which are:
- Isuzu Challenge Thailand 2026 Racing Car, a prototype race car developed for the Isuzu Challenge Thailand competition
- NEW! ISUZU V-CROSS 4×4, equipped with a special WILD body kit that enhances its adventurous image
- MU-X Top Secret SPL, a special project developed in collaboration with Top Secret
- MU-X HOT ROD LIMITED EDITION, co-designed with the Bangkok Hot Rod Custom Show
- ISUZU V-CROSS HAMER, featuring a full off-road styling package
These customized vehicles reflect the concept of lifestyle-oriented product development, catering to users who seek individuality and a distinctive identity.
Concept of Carbon Neutral and Alternative Fuel Development
Isuzu continues its commitment to developing technologies that support greenhouse gas reduction through collaborations on alternative fuels, such as HVO (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) and B20 biodiesel.
In the latest testing phase, these fuels have demonstrated the ability to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 50%, while maintaining performance comparable to conventional fuels. This approach reflects Isuzu’s strategy of developing diverse solutions to achieve carbon neutrality in the future. The showcase of 15 vehicles is including standard models, electric vehicles, and customized cars which are highlights Isuzu’s readiness to deliver products that meet the demands of performance, technology, and diverse lifestyles.
The concept “THE ONE & ONLY with YUU CHAN” reflects the brand’s vision of being a trusted companion for drivers on every journey, while offering a new experience to the audiences at Motor Show 2026.
